Busy busy weekend. But a very good weekend! I was up and out of the house Saturday morning early. Not to much in the way of good sounding ads in the paper. Speaking of there is something I’ve noticed lately…the papers have been really lacking in sales for the past year or so. They’ve been pricing themselves right out of the market I think. People just don’t want to pay 30-40 for a yardsales ad. Craig’s list has a good number of ads but to post on there you need to be somewhat computer savvy (or at least own a computer) so that rules out most of the 75+ crowd who have the older items I like to buy. And for the people who have a computer and old stuff they look it up on ebay and 90% of the time hold onto it for that mythical day they join and start to sell. So for the most part lately my stuff has been coming from unadvertised sales.
I did stop by one advertised “estate sale” Saturday morning first off. It was in no way, shape, or form an estate sale. But thankfully they were open at 6:15 when I got there and it was close to my house so no real time wasted. It was dark anyway so the other sales weren’t open yet. After that I wondered around looking for signs. And boy there were a lot of sales out. I probably saw 50+…it was warm out is the reason. It got up to almost 80 in the afternoon and was nice and sunny. I scored a ton on vintage Christmas at one sale and the rest of the morning was pretty slow. But I was so happy with the Christmas stuff I didn’t care…in fact I got so excited I had to text Laurie and brag!!
I could have posted on Saturday but I had to pack for the antique show and then later I didn’t feel like sorting it all and just watched the wire on DVD…
I got a few pictures of the sales I hit to check them out on my blog…but sorry no flea market pictures…I to was busy selling!
Here is the run down!

That was Saturday on Sunday I sold at the flea. It was one of those days where everything seems to go right too. I sold just under 1,500…I got there 15 minutes early…nothing walked off by itself. I was able to see out of my rear view mirror on the way home. I didn’t hurt myself lifting tables or boxes. I got back to my brothers and watched the super bowl. Now if only pitt hadn’t scored that last touchdown I would have won the pool and an extra 200…
