I know I’m pretty far behind…I only stared to clean and decorate today. But as long as its all done by the 24th its all good! I didn’t get far on the decorations. Most of my time is spent moving misc. glass that has accumulated over the last year off the furniture. But I promised a picture of the epergne when the other horn came in…so here that is along with a few pictures of my decorations so far…

No estate sales listed for this morning so I was able to sleep in some. I was out of the house right with the sun and spent my morning driving around looking for garage sales. I didn’t have any set agenda and not a single say mapped out when I left. But I was still able to scratch together a really good day! No, Fenton…But I got something almost better…IMO at least its better!! But we’ll get to that later…
Pretty good morning weather wise. Its been a bit cloudy and a few times it looked like it might rain some. But still its good garage sale weather. It was about 50 out when I got up and is about 60 out now.
Sorry for the lack of pictures when I was up at the sales. Most of them came out really blurry. Not sure why…I don’t remember doing anything different. But I made up for the lack of sales pictures with a few extra pictures of my finds. A before and after with the dirty glass…me playing dress up with my friend Samantha…and a few close-ups of my finds (you’ll have to check my blog later tonight to see them all).

2 three light candlesticks $1 Cambridge or one of those elegant glass makers did them. Should be an easy solid sale. The three light ones are always harder to find
Hall teapot $2 Nice teapot…good maker…easy sale…easy money…
Fry Glass 1qt drippings jar 50cents I think its a dripping jar…maybe an ice bucket…I’m not sure…

Vintage coffee table $5 I have a hard time passing up the harp pieces for cheap…they don’t sell for much but I’ll make 40 or so off of it…
Frankoma leaf platter $1 I’ve never been a frankoma fan…
tole painted saw blade $20 I like this one…it will be a good flea market seller. Its heavy as can be (40lbs?) or I’d list it…I think I should make 100 off it easy…

Alpaca fur rug $5 they seem to want something in the 200-300 range on ebay for them like it…but they aren’t selling. I’ll take it to the flea and see what I can get. I thought it was nice…
My find of the day!! Club 33 items $50 I hit a garage sale that had some Disney cast items out and asked them about where they worked in Disneyland…when they said Club 33 I was all over that…I asked if they had any club items and they said they had a box full they almost threw out a few years ago…and they’d go get it if I wanted to see it. IF?!? Of course I wanted to see them…turns out they had 2 aprons and 2 dresses they liberated when they quit/left. They asked if I’d give 50…I didn’t even try to bargain I just grabbed and ran! If I sold them on line I could probably get something around 500 for the lot…and I might sell one dress but one I’m keeping for Sam!

5 Voom Boxes $10 They went out of business long ago…so you would think the boxes are worthless (Like the seller did)…but there not. They still work for over the air HDTV. They don’t break the bank but I should avg. 20-25 per on ebay…

I took last week off as I was on a quasi vacation over the weekend. I did manages to get out for a bit on Saturday and found a tackle box for $5 with a few vintageish lures in it. Nothing to great I more wanted the box because I’m slowly putting together a lot of my cast off lures to sell on ebay…but I need something to put them in.
Now onto this weekend. I’m back out and up at estate sales. First up I went to a 7am estate sale and came to find out the paper had the wrong address. Luckily they were setting it all up outside early so I was able to find it without that much trouble. They didn’t have to much although I got a piece of Fenton (the blue vase) right as I walked up the driveway so that was a good way to start! Then I went to an 8am estate sale. They were also setup in front but this one had nothing…one of those sales that you spend a few minutes looking around…because it should have something. It just didn’t…
After that it was around to garage sales for the rest of the morning….where I had to resort to some underhanded backstabbing but it all worked in my favor so go me! The weather was very nice…cool in the morning and its 76 out now. Its another glorious day here in southern California for a yardsale!

4 old tins $1 Just some flea market junk…but good selling flea junk
German beer mug $1 More flea junk…it seems as long as they are marked made in Germany I can get 7-10 for them at the flea…
Union 76 oil/gas can $3 More flea junk…but again good selling flea junk…something I won’t have to drag all over the world to sell.
USC 1951yearbook 75 cents List it…flea it…not sure…
Fenton amber toothpick 25cents You’ll see a picture of the toothpick at the sale on my blog. I wasn’t going to buy it. And I was going to mention how I even leave some Fenton at sales for others. But then I found the yearbook and had no quarters. So I threw in the toothpick and made it an even dollar.
2 riding helmets $2for both in boxes…not sure how the sell…but it looked interesting…and new old stock…and really how much can I lose???

Cranberry Fenton rose bowl $1 I found this at about 11am right when I was thinking about calling it a day (I had some errands to run). You normally don’t see nice Fenton out after 9am…
Murano glass ashtray free I asked the price and was told I could have that “thing”
Fenton pink basket $2…it does have a bit of pattern to it but it was washed out in my picture. Not a bad piece of marked Fenton
Blue Fenton vase $25cents from the early estate sale. Not a bad vase…it still has the sticker although I turned it the wrong way in the picture…its the peacock pattern.
Fenton Silvercrest candy compote and Epergne $20 I just about locked up my breaks and parked in the middle of the street to get it…because when you see that sitting out you don’t stop to park right…I walked up and asked the price and was told $2…when someone else came running across the lawn and said they were going to buy it…the seller hesitated and said they did ask about it first…I replied (as I was handing them a $20) “How about I give $20 for this and the candy dish.” The seller said that was fine and I picked them both up and walked up very quick as the other buyer was still protesting. Now maybe it was wrong of me and underhanded. But in my defense (aside from ITS FENTON)…if he had it in his hand or in a pile someplace else…or paid for it ect. I would have respected that and left very mad. But to just leave it sitting on the table…there is no way you leave something like that sitting. In my mind if you leave it sitting out on a table without even saying you’ll take it…the item is still in play and as a result is fair game…was I right or wrong? Anyway the epergne (the hard to find 4 horn) is missing one small horn but has an extra large one…I already ordered another small horn off ebay for 9.99. So in about a week I will have a very nice 4 horn epergne to display at Christmas with an extra large horn (that should sell good BTW) and a candy dish for about $36 total!! Then in Jan. I can sell the epergne alone at the flea for 150!
